36th Annual Jim Wright Memorial Stearman Fly-in
August 2 10:00 AM Oregon Aviation History Center, 2475 Jim Wright Way, Cottage Grove 541-767-0244 firstname.lastname@example.org Website
Stearman planes, named after designer Lloyd Stearman, were used to train pilots in World War II. Weather permitting, we expect between 25 and 30 open cockpit biplanes and other vintage aircraft. The roar of the big radial engines on these planes is unmistakable and shouldn’t be missed!
Biplane rides by Nostalgic Warbird & Biplane Rides will be available for purchase. If you’ve never ridden in an open cockpit plane before, it’s a real treat! Food and drink will also be available on site.
While this is a family-friendly event, we do ask that you leave your non-service four-legged family members at home. The blacktop gets hot and can damage the feet of our canine friends, so it is best to let them sit this one out if you do not need them with you.
