A great big gourd that tips the scales at more than a thousand pounds is one of a few pumpkins at Fifth Street Public Market that'll go under the knife starting this weekend.

“One of our pumpkins is going to be Frankenstein this year,” Marketing Director Marissa Ooyevaar said. “Another one, as soon as one of our carvers saw it, he said, 'this looks like a pig.’”
