This can prove to be an expensive task, as technology advancements are made each year.

Harrisburg graduate Mark Elmblade spent 13 years selling football helmets as a rep for Ridell. He is using that experience to build his new company Armor Zone, which leases football helmets to high schools and youth programs.

Security cameras caught two teenage vandals ramming a stolen golf cart into the doors of the Cottage Grove High School athletic complex early Friday morning, just days before students return to class.

The surveillance footage shows the two teens stealing a golf cart from the nearby Hidden Valley Golf Course early in the morning.

“The golf cart had been rammed through these doors behind me here and was actually stuck in the door,” said Krista Parent, superintendent of the district.

We're learning new details on the double murder - suicide at a coos county beach earlier this week.

Officials said the shooter, Zachary Brimhall, left two suicide notes in his car.

In the notes, Brimhall describes being mentally ill his entire life. He wrote the events allowed him to feel completely free for the first time in his life, officials said.

The new school year is right around the corner, and families are making the mad dash to the school supply section of retail stores across the nation.

Families at Danebo Elementary will not be among those fighting for the last pack of pink pearl erasers, as the school adopted a universal school supplies fee five years ago.

They charge $20 bucks per student, which covers all the school supplies that student will need for the year.

Several families were reluctant to accept the fee the first year it was implemented - but now almost all the families love it.
