Sheriff: Missing Myrtle Creek man found dead near Powers

The Coos County Sheriff's Office located the body of Gerald Lorenz and his vehicle in the Powers area on Monday afternoon. The sheriff's office contacted authorities in Douglas County around 2:15 p.m.

Lorenz's death is being investigated by the Coos County Sheriff's Office and does not appear to be suspicious in nature, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.
