Senior cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olumu won't be on the field when Oregon faces Florida State in the Rose Bowl on New Year's Day.

News broke Wednesday afternoon that Ekpre-Olumu suffered a serious non-contact knee injury in practice and will miss the college football playoff.

Kitty Piercy won't run for a 4th term as Mayor of Eugene in 2016.

"I think a 12-year run is a good run," she said.

The former school teacher and state lawmaker said she and her husband decided it's the right time to announce that she won't be running for re-election.

Voters first elected Piercy in 2004. She won re-election over challenger and former Mayor Jim Torrey in 2008 but cruised to a third term in 2012.

Looking back, Piercy said she can point with pride to several accomplishments.
