School across the nation have been getting requests from a fake company that has been linked to fraudulent billings, the Oregon School Boards Association said.
The company called Scholastic School Supply has been sending requests for purchasing data to school districts in Oregon. Those requests have later been linked to a string of fraudulent billings.
Seattle Children's Hospital announced Friday that two children have tested positive for the uncommon Enterovirus D-68 strain.
The hospital says the two children had preexisting conditions that exacerbated their condition but were stable enough to be discharged from the hospital earlier this week.
"Confirmation of these cases indicates that EV-D68 is likely in our communities and that we can expect to see additional cases over the coming weeks," said Dr. Jeff Duchin, Chief of Communicable Disease and Epidemiology at Public Health - Seattle & King County. "But we can’t predict at this time how severe or how long an EV-D68 outbreak might be locally."

Reports state the teenager accused of raping a woman near Autzen Stadium on Saturday night was visiting Eugene to watch an Oregon Ducks football game through the Washington County Juvenile Department.
The trip was part of a program that helps youth develop life skills and positive goals through pro-social activities, Department Director Lynne Schroeder said.
The University of Oregon Athletic Department couldn't confirm if they were aware that the supervised group of 12 troubled teens was visiting the Ducks game. Senior Associate Athletic Director Craig Pintens said there are a number of different people the group could have called to notify the university.
Local golfer Madalyn Ardueser, a two-time 5A Girl's District Champion, was recently chosen to play in the 2014 Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach.
Ardueser was chosen for the official champions tour event by national panel of judges who evaluated golfers on playing ability and a comprehension of life skills.
