A Eugene Library worker spotted a bug on a chair on the third floor and collected it.
Once the library was notified it was indeed a bed bug, Lavena Nohrenberg said library staff got rid of the chair and brought in pest control experts to inspect every chair throughout the library.
"We found a few chairs that had evidence of bed bugs that surrounded the initial chair," said Nohrenberg, the customer experience manager at the libary. "All of those chairs were removed, and as a precaution all of the areas surrounding the chairs were treated."
